Roussillon was written about in the 1950's by Laurence Wylie, the American social anthropologist, in his book 'Village in the Vaucluse'. This is a must-read book for anyone interested in the area.. amusingly, Wylie changed the name of the village to Peyrane, however didn't change the names of any of the inhabitants! Get the book at http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/0674939352/qid=1137766343/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_0_1/026-5184134-3546042
I'll be buying this book. I am collecting lists of books about Provence (& eventually reading them).
